Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center Madison Heights Recovery and Wellness Services is a CARF accredited substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health disorder treatment organization that has been treating clients for more than 55 years. The organization has several locations, including this facility in Madison Heights, Michigan. The facility is about 15 miles north of Detroit and is an inner ring suburb of the Motor City. They provide outpatient services, including medication assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient ambulatory withdrawal management, statewide telehealth, SUD Health Home Services, housing and recovery support.
The organization aims to remove barriers to treatment for those in the community and works with regional prepaid inpatient health plans. Additionally, they accept many regular insurance plans.
Above and Beyond Outpatient Treatment Services
The outpatient treatment services here include not only SUD and mental health treatment but also HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. They use customized treatment plans that blend professional, therapeutic and evidence based techniques with the self help principles of groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Most clients’ plans include a combination of individual, group and specialty therapies with education. They include peer support, recreational activities and 12 Step groups that match each client’s needs.
Clearing Obstacles to Addiction Recovery
One of the great features of the program is how the staff works to remove barriers to treatment and recovery. They treat all clients regardless of economic or social status, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, gender, culture or age. They have over 1,000 clients enrolled in their MAT program, including clients in the jail in Pontiac.
They also provide housing support services to help with a successful transition back to the community. The housing is recovery focused, secure and safe. Clients on MAT treatment are welcome, and they provide a variety of additional supportive services. Recovery housing is available in Berrien, Oakland and St. Clair Counties.
