Roots Recovery Houses offer gender-specific settings so guys can work on recovery with others who share similar backgrounds and perspectives. You’ll build your communication skills and self-care techniques. You have a safe, comfortable home while you become more independent and healthy.
Homes are led by a full-time manager who has also experienced addiction and understands the challenges you may face. They can guide and mentor you through the 12 Steps and help with recovery concerns.
Life Skills Learning
Addiction can be frustrating and overwhelming at times. While at Roots Recovery Houses, you will practice healthy coping skills, learn basic housework chores, and have daily responsibilities.
Residents also have assistance finding employment, and they provide bike rentals for your commute to and from work. They also include complimentary bus passes until you find employment. The staff will help you develop a resume and improve interviewing techniques to land a job that matches your qualifications.
Residents encourage each other and have a community to call home. They have group activities for fun, like camping trips, rafting, hiking, and attending sporting events.
