Rego Park Counseling is an outpatient substance use and mental health treatment provider in Queens, New York, licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and the Office of Mental Health.
The center offers individual, group, family and couples counseling for addiction and co occurring mental health conditions, with both in person and telehealth options available. Clients benefit from flexible, community based recovery support through the CORE program and culturally aware care for diverse populations.
What Programs Does Rego Park Counseling Offer?
Rego Park Counseling provides outpatient substance use counseling, dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns and a specialized CORE (Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment) program.
CORE includes community psychiatric support, psychosocial rehabilitation, family support and training and peer services that can meet clients at home, in parks, or other preferred locations. The center also refers clients to detox when a higher level of medical care is needed.
Who Can Get Help at Rego Park Counseling?
The center serves children and adults, including individuals, couples and families dealing with substance use, mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and ADHD, or both.
Services are designed to support LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities and the program works with court involved clients, including those referred through probation, parole, drug court, or alternatives to incarceration. Counselors use evidence based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma focused treatment, plus group therapy, family therapy and connections to 12 step meetings. Treatment plans are individualized following an initial assessment and emphasize relapse prevention, anger management and linkage to community supports.
