About Ogden Regional Alcohol and Chemical Treatment Center
Ogden Regional Alcohol and Chemical Treatment Center (ACT) is a hospital affiliated addiction treatment program in Ogden, Utah, serving adults throughout the Greater Salt Lake City area since 1973.
The program offers a full continuum of care, including medically monitored detox, inpatient and residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and aftercare services. With 24/7 medical oversight and dual diagnosis capabilities, ACT delivers evidence based, trauma informed care that addresses both substance use and co occurring mental health conditions.
Medically Monitored Detox in a Hospital Setting
Treatment typically begins with medically monitored detoxification in a hospital setting, where withdrawal is managed safely under round the clock nursing and physician supervision. From there, adults can transition into inpatient or residential programs that provide structured daily schedules of individual counseling, group therapy and therapeutic activities.
Clients stepping down from higher levels of care can continue with PHP (8 to 10 hours per day, 7 days a week) or IOP (3 days per week with flexible day or evening tracks). Programming integrates CBT, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, the Matrix Model and trauma counseling, alongside recreational therapy, meditation, yoga, music therapy and interactive journaling. Family and support groups, 12 step facilitation and alumni services help sustain recovery beyond discharge.
Care Begins with a Confidential Consultation
Getting started at Ogden Regional ACT begins with a confidential consultation with an intake therapist, who will assess your needs, verify insurance or payment options and often facilitate same day or next day admission. The admissions team can explain each level of care, answer questions about what insurance typically covers and coordinate any necessary medical or psychiatric evaluations.
