NorthStar provides partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient treatment for substance use disorders, along with mental health assessments and counseling. Continuing care services include aftercare planning, discharge coordination and outcome follow up to support long term recovery.
The center serves adults aged 18 years and older in a co-ed setting. In addition to substance use disorders, NorthStar offers specialized treatment for gambling disorder and other addiction related concerns, as well as co occurring mental health conditions.
What Therapies And Supports Are Available?
Treatment includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, the Matrix Model, relapse prevention, 12 step facilitation, trauma counseling and anger management. Peer support, recovery coaching and on site drug and alcohol testing help clients stay accountable and connected.
The center is located at 322 Lamar Ave, Suite 220, in Charlotte, with in person services Monday through Friday and telehealth options for added flexibility. NorthStar accepts private insurance, including in network Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina, Cigna and United Healthcare, plus many EAP programs. Self pay and sliding fee scales based on income are also available.
