About Mid Michigan Recovery Services
Mid Michigan Recovery Services is a long-standing substance use treatment organization serving adults across the Lansing tri-county area with outpatient, residential and recovery support programs.
With deep community roots dating back to 1960, MMRS takes a holistic, person-centered approach guided by a Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model.
Comprehensive Outpatient Addiction Treatment
MMRS offers a full continuum of outpatient services, including regular outpatient care, intensive outpatient programming, individual counseling, group therapy, and confidential assessments.
The team also provides court assessments and Highway Safety Seminars for court-involved clients seeking education and treatment.
Sessions are built around individualized treatment plans informed by comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments. Clients work on relapse prevention, trauma-related concerns, stress and anger management and life skills, supported by peer recovery coaches, many of whom have their own lived experience in long-term recovery.
Residential Care and Recovery Housing
For adults needing a higher level of support, MMRS operates separate men’s and women’s home-based residential programs, each accommodating up to 14 residents in a structured 24-hour therapeutic environment.
Transitional sober living through Safe Harbor and aftercare recovery coaching help clients sustain progress as they reintegrate into the community.
Insurance and Getting Started
MMRS provides in-person outpatient services at 913 West Holmes Road in Lansing, with residential and additional recovery support available across the tri-county area.
The organization accepts Medicaid, private insurance, state-financed coverage and self-pay, and works to support individuals facing financial barriers to care.
