About Mayo Clinic Health System Fountain Centers Albert Lea
Mayo Clinic Health System Fountain Centers in Albert Lea is a Minnesota treatment program serving individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.
The program offers residential care, extended care and outpatient chemical dependency treatment for adults and adolescents, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders.
Grounded in dignity, respect and current scientific research, Fountain Centers helps people build lasting recovery.
Continuum of Care
Fountain Centers provides a continuum of care from free chemical use screenings and comprehensive assessments to outpatient treatment, an adult men's residential program and extended care for those at higher risk of relapse.
As part of Mayo Clinic Health System the program delivers this care within a hospital-based setting rather than a standalone rehab model.
Treatment draws on motivational enhancement and cognitive behavioral traditions with a strong emphasis on relapse prevention skills while integrating the 12 Steps of AA and NA.
Sessions include individual counseling, group work, family group counseling and alcohol and drug education to address both symptoms and underlying causes.
Extended Care and Ongoing Support
The extended care program offers 24/7 staffing, daily medication and relaxation skills training, therapeutic recreation and help arranging aftercare living.
Ongoing support includes weekly recovery groups, a relapse group open to anyone in recovery and telephone recovery support for residential and extended care participants after discharge.
