HINDS Behavioral Health Services

Hinds Behavioral Health Services is based in Jackson, Mississippi. They offer a variety of services to help adults and children who are experiencing addiction to alcohol or drugs. This includes medication assisted treatment for those with an alcohol or opioid use disorder diagnosis.

They have a dedicated adolescent program that is open to those between the ages of 12 and 18.

Comprehensive Addiction Treatment

Their intensive outpatient program includes individual and group therapy which address addictive behaviors and any mental health issues you’re experiencing. They host relapse prevention classes several times a week.

For existing adult clients, Hinds offers an integrated care program which allows you to get primary medical care and mental health care from the same location. Primary healthcare services are provided by Central MS Health Services.

First Aid Training for Mental Health

They also offer first aid training here that focuses on responding to mental health or addiction-related crises. This course includes a ton of education and practical steps to take when you see someone struggling with a panic attack, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, self-harm, acute psychosis, overdose, or withdrawal from substances.
