About Helen Ross McNabb Center Military Services
The Helen Ross McNabb Center Military Services program is a specialized behavioral health and addiction treatment resource for military-connected individuals and their families in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Specially trained therapists address PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, co-occurring disorders and other invisible wounds of service. The program is offered at no cost to eligible military families to honor those who serve by removing financial barriers to care.
Veteran-Focused Treatment
Military Services provides outpatient addiction treatment, co-occurring disorder care, aftercare and intervention services tailored to the unique experiences of veterans, active-duty members and their loved ones.
Clinicians are specifically trained to understand military culture and the behavioral health challenges tied to service.
Treatment integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and peer support, with access to the broader McNabb continuum including medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programming, and residential care when clinically appropriate.
Sessions focus on trauma-informed healing, relapse prevention and practical skills to restore stability at home and in daily life.
Support for Families and Caregivers
Recognizing that service impacts the whole family, the program extends care to spouses, children and caregivers of military members.
This family-inclusive approach helps strengthen relationships, build resilience and support long-term recovery across the household.
