The Hazelden Betty Ford Chaska Treatment Center in Chaska, Minnesota offers outpatient addiction and mental health treatment. They are certified by The Joint Commission and LegitScript and are in network with most major health insurance companies, excluding Medicare and Medicaid.
A three minute survey on the center's website will help you determine if you need treatment. You will attend individual therapy sessions that are focused on your needs. You will also attend group therapy sessions where group members share, learn, and support each other.
Levels of Treatment for Substance Use Disorder
The most intensive level of outpatient services is partial hospitalization programming (PHP). Clients attend individual and group programming 25 to 30 hours per week. This level offers clients the option of living on campus.
Intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) is the middle level with three hours per day four days per week. Outpatient Therapy is the least intensive level with one hour per week group therapy and monthly individual therapy. These therapies can be attended in person or virtually through telehealth.
A substance use diagnosis co-occurring with mental health issues will enter the PHP or IOP level. These clients are treated for addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Programs and Workshops for Family Engagement
Programs and workshops are offered for client families. Families begin with a two hour virtual orientation. Phone and web based family coaching is available.
Four 90 minute skill building workshops will teach families about boundaries, communication, family roles, and how to support the client. A 90 minute weekly virtual family support group facilitates discussions about addiction and recovery.
Spanish speaking counselors hold a three hour virtual meeting to discuss recovery, family dynamics, and communication.
Native American professionals facilitate a two hour virtual meeting for families to discuss support for the client and learning about addiction.
The Together App offers direct messaging, content, activities, articles, and videos for support through therapy and recovery. Information about event workshops, classes, and support groups are available on the app.
