Since 2017, they have won Monterey Award Program’s for “Best Eating Disorder Treatment Center” from 2017 to 2022. The facility delivers a meaningful, constructive impact personally toward the client's care journey while providing a straightforward healing path to all.

Programs and Treatment Options

Harmony Place Monterey offers structured partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). PHP is a step-down from residential care and offers individual, group, and family therapy sessions six hours a day, five days a week. Their IOP offers a more flexible option with only three hours per day and one to two individual therapy sessions per week.

As with all other services offered, these programs aim to provide care for all patients—trauma and PTSD; eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating); chemical dependencies for alcohol, drug, and process addictions; advanced mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD; intimacy disorders; relationship issues; and grief.

Support Aftercare Treatment Plan

At Harmony Place Monterey, their “overcoming these issues” philosophy targets the root of the issues utilizing a broad spectrum of therapies. Evidence-based treatments include cognitive processing therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

For ongoing support, Harmony Place develops comprehensive aftercare planning. This includes important relapse prevention counseling, life coaching, and links to sober living environments. They also show a strong commitment to specific populations, combat veterans and active duty military members.
