About Habilitat
People come from all over the world to Kaneohe, Hawaii to recover from alcohol and other substance use disorders (SUDs) at the Habilitat Long Term Addiction Treatment Facility. Located on the island of Oahu, their residential program helps young adult men and women make a truly fresh start.
Oceanfront Space with Purpose
The campus is set right on the edge of stunning Kaneʻohe Bay. Imagine waking up to an orange sherbet with a raspberry twist colored sunrise. There’s even a private pier for the program’s residents to use.
Everything you need for successful recovery is here, including practical spaces like a schoolroom, a computer lab and vocational training offices. You can let off steam in the fitness center or relax in the oceanfront gardens.
Learning to Live Differently
Treatment is structured and you’ll do it in three phases. Early on you’ll focus on building accountability and healthy relationships. Little by little, you can gain independence taking on responsibilities like budgeting and job training.
Once you’re ready, you’ll begin the transition to sober living and will be able to reconnect with family. Many who finish the program say the program is about tough love, but it helped them grow up and finally take ownership of their choices.
Addiction Treatment for the Whole Person
They really focus on the whole person, not just sobriety. Physical fitness is mandatory, but the ocean views make the hard work a little easier. You’ll have plenty of support with health and nutrition.
If you haven’t finished high school, you’ll have a chance to earn your G.E.D. There’s also hands-on job training and computer classes to set you up for a successful life.
