About Gateway Foundation Chicago River North
Located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, is the Gateway Foundation Chicago River North. This outpatient facility provides comprehensive care to adults struggling with a variety of addictions issues. They can help you become free of a dependency on drugs, alcohol, opioids, stimulants, cannabis and other substances.
Accessible and Comfortable Care
This clinic is conveniently located and is just under a 20 minute walk from nearby Union Station. When you get to the nondescript red brick building, you'll find that inside is a comfortable and relaxing recovery environment that's far from what you'd expect in a traditional medical facility.
Open spaces for group counseling and individual counseling sessions, modern styling, and comfortably furnished activity rooms provide an overall comfortable recovery space. As a smaller sized building, the facility doesn’t make you feel lost in treatment but instead conveys the feeling of a safe community space where you can connect with other people facing similar struggles.
Flexible Outpatient Programs
There's a general outpatient treatment program as well as day treatment and intensive outpatient programs. While the number of hours you spend in each recovery program varies, the theme behind all programs is evidence based care that puts you at the center of your recovery. You'll develop recovery skills, learn how to tackle triggers and understand how addiction is impacting your life through their prevention and education services.
Supporting these proven practices are holistic therapies. You'll get to engage in therapeutic art, yoga and mindfulness techniques. There's even adventure therapy and animal assisted therapy too.
Supportive Alumni Community
Gateway Recovery has a really robust alumni program, and you'll be encouraged to join this program as you near the end of your treatment here. This program helps keep you connected with a community you can lean on when you face challenges out in the real world.
Plus there's a peer support network, regular volunteer events and other services that will help you stay on top of your sobriety. There's a text alert system you can sign up for to become part of the alumni group in your local community.
