About Connections Community Support Programs

Connections CSP Inc is a nonprofit outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment provider in Newark, Delaware as part of the Connections Community Support Programs network which serves adults and families statewide.

They offer general and intensive outpatient substance use treatment.

Treatment includes counseling and case management as well as medication management and integrated care for dual disorders and it functions inside a much larger crisis and community support infrastructure.

Community Support Program

The Community Support Program is available to clients with serious and persistent mental illness and it includes Assertive Community Treatment and a dual diagnosis track with intensive care and case management.

Vocational services and peer support are wraparound services. They also offer a Wellness Recovery Action Plan  program.

This means the Newark office functions less like a counseling clinic and more like a long term support system with coordinated services under one organization which is beneficial for those whose addiction is dual with serious mental illness.

This is a different type of support than a short term IOP that is designed around a single episode of care.

Crisis Line and Mobile Crisis Response

Connections CSP operates a 24 hour crisis line and mobile crisis response services with walk-in availability and 24 hour emergency on call support tied to its Community Support Program.

Its housing focused services extend services beyond the clinic. This includes emergency shelter and transitional housing as well as permanent supportive housing.

A client in acute distress in Newark can enter services through crisis services and can transition into outpatient and recovery support instead of being referred to a new provider after stabilization.

Connections CSP serves adults throughout Delaware.
