About Community Medical Services Billings
Community Medical Services (CMS) is a local clinic that provides treatment solutions for people struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD) in Billings, Montana. It is part of the larger Community Medical Services network which provides care across the country. The priority is focused on opioid addiction, but also includes heroin and fentanyl.
MAT Detox Solutions
Because CMS is focused on opioid addiction, detox is one of the core services that this facility provides. For people with more serious addiction, this includes a medication assisted treatment (MAT) strategy to help manage withdrawal symptoms and minimize the risk of relapse. MAT is usually paired with other behavioral health treatments which include counseling and peer support to help you maintain sobriety once you complete the detox program.
Counseling and Peer Support for a Lasting Change
Getting sober is just part of the rehabilitation journey. A major part of recovery is understanding the triggers that led to substance abuse in the first place. At CMS, this means you’ll participate in counseling services which can include not just group, individual, and family counseling sessions, but may also incorporate skills courses to help you learn how to manage stressors that can trigger substance abuse.
This can also include access to peer support groups. Working with other people who are also overcoming addiction can help to build a support network for after you complete the programs and also helps you rebuild a community of sober people for life after addiction.
Specialized Care for Pregnant Women
Addiction doesn’t discriminate and this means that pregnant women can also fall victim to substance abuse. CMS has a specialized program for pregnant women struggling with OUD. Methadone based MAT care is provided which is in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommendations.
CMS Billings accepts most major insurance providers in the state along with Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare.
