CHC Addiction Services RAMAR is a long term residential addiction treatment center in Akron, Ohio that offers treatment for adult men with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
The facility offers a 60 to 90 day residential program along with intensive outpatient and outpatient services designed to support recovery through trauma-informed care, medication-assisted treatment, and vocational support.
Inpatient and Outpatient Addiction Treatment
RAMAR provides long term and short term residential treatment for up to 24 men, as well as intensive outpatient, regular outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, psychiatry services, medication assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine, or Vivitrol.
Evidence based therapies used include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. Specialized groups such as Good Grief and Reboot address loss, motivation, and accountability within a peer centered recovery community.
Recovery with Purpose
RAMAR is located on a quiet residential street near Cuyahoga Valley National Park and offers peaceful natural surroundings that support healing and reflection. The facility includes shared bedrooms, two lounges, a meditation room, fitness areas, and outdoor recreational spaces.
RAMAR accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private health insurance, TRICARE, and federal or government funding for substance use treatment. Summit County residents who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for a sliding fee scale. Transportation assistance is available to reduce barriers to getting help. They are Joint Commission accredited with dedicated employment and housing support.
