About Central Wyoming Counseling Center
The Central Wyoming Counseling Center (CWCC) in Casper, Wyoming is a mental health clinic mostly operated by volunteers. They are CARF accredited and provide substance use treatment for adults.
CWCC accepts Medicaid and Medicare as well as some private insurance providers. A sliding fee scale based on family size and income is available for the uninsured. A crisis phone line is available 24/7 and can be called or texted.
Detoxification and Withdrawal Management
Detoxification and withdrawal management services are needed by some patients. Professionals stabilize clients, manage withdrawals to prevent complications, and perform an assessment to determine the next treatment needed. What’s unique is that they can provide detox in the least intensive environment appropriate for you so you may not need a hospital like environment.
Residential Treatment and Crisis Stabilization Services
Ths treatment center accepts adults including pregnant women and mothers. There are separate units for men and women and a special program for mothers and their children. Accompanying children must be eight years old or younger.
The program offers therapy groups and/or parenting classes. Clients can request to receive culturally enhanced treatments too. Case management will assist clients with community resources and peer support provides encouragement from former clients.
Crisis stabilization services admissions are available 24/7 and can assist with withdrawal management and acceptance to residential treatment. A mobile response team can be deployed to a client’s location.
Outpatient Services for Substance Use Disorder
This treatment center also offers outpatient rehab like their intensive outpatient program or IOP. It uses treatment methods like individual and group therapy, family support treatment and relapse prevention treatment as well as medication assisted treatment and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing treatment or EMDR.
Clients say that they especially appreciate the in house pharmacy and the quality of aftercare. Others mentioned the staff is constantly changing and are not always happy and positive when providing services.
