Helpful Support for the Homeless
The services that Unity House provides are designed to allow recovering substance users to become self-sufficient. You will be supported in finding employment, volunteering in the community or pursuing an educational goal.
As a resident, you’ll also be referred to outpatient substance use treatment, primary and specialty medical care, and mental health services. Clients can stay in the residence anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.
Amenities For Your Comfort
During your stay, clients will receive trauma informed care, a semi private room, and complete handicapped accessibility. The staff will also provide you with healthy meals and there’s a recreation and activities area where you can learn to have a good time without using substances.
Group Discussions and Peer Support
Group sessions will focus on helpful topics such as boundaries, conflict resolution, mental health, and stress management. You’ll have the support of your peers who will provide insight based on their experiences with recovery.
A great thing about this facility’s location is you’re not far from the MLK Jr. Park. It features a five acre reflecting/wading pool that becomes a skating rink of the winter, a rectangular aquatic garden and an outer oval shaped walking path.
