About Catholic Family Center
Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS) in Rochester, New York, is one of the first facilities to receive the Blue Distinction Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery designation.
Behavioral health services offer treatment for drug, alcohol, and gambling addictions at their second facility on N. Clinton Avenue. They also treat depression and anxiety. The Restart team specializes in providing adult treatment for dual diagnosis and chemical dependency disorders using an integrated group setting. The program is available in Spanish alongside English.
Cost of services can be covered through public assistance benefits, supplemental security income payments, or on a sliding fee scale. They don't deny services based on your background or an inability to pay.
Intensive Residential for Addiction Treatment
Adults, pregnant women, and mothers with children can be referred to their intensive residential stabilization and rehabilitation program. Men are housed in the Freedom House, women with preschool age children are housed in Hannick Hall, and women with children are housed in Liberty Manor.
Residential services offer addiction education, relapse prevention group discussions, fatherhood classes, psychiatric assessments, and medication assisted treatment. A Spanish track is available for Spanish speakers.
Outpatient Services for Substance Use
Outpatient services are available if you have a gambling addiction or substance use addiction. You’ll be evaluated for chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Treatment also covers trauma, suboxone medication, and collaboration with drug courts.
Support groups such as AA and NA are held onsite as well as pre-GED classes. You can be tested for TB, hepatitis, and HIV. Open access evaluation hours are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Triple Diagnosis Treatments
The Tri-D program offers services for clients with triple diagnosis of mental health issues, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Treatment includes therapy, psychotropic medication services, health monitoring, smoking session services, evidence based treatment, and peer counseling.
