The Young and The Young at Heart
There are treatment programs for youth and adults here. Both demographics have residential/inpatient, intensive outpatient, day treatment, and partial care treatment programs. Which level of care an individual starts with depends on their personal situation and needs as determined by the licensed mental health professional conducting the initial assessment.
Treatment includes life and coping skills classes, individual and group counseling, family therapy, recreational and experiential activities, and evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy models.
Levels of Care
Medical detoxification may be needed. This consists of one to five days of 24/7 medical care by nursing staff and health monitoring with a daily physician assessment.
Residential care usually lasts approximately a month with 12 hours of therapeutic programming per day. There are residential treatment facilities for youth and for adults at the Lake Street campus. Youth curriculum includes educational and academic programming so they don’t fall behind in school while getting the help and support they need.
Intensive outpatient programs and day treatment programs have therapeutic activities, groups, and lectures every weekday. IOP programming is available Monday to Friday mornings. Day treatment includes between four and eight hours of programming per day on three to five days per week.
After stabilizing your mental and behavioral health to the point of not needing daily support you will have access to outpatient care that allows for groups and individual therapy sessions from once a month to once a week depending on need.
Costs may be covered by private or government health insurance. There is a sliding fee scale for expenses not covered by insurance.
