About Aquila Recovery Clinic
Aquila Recovery Clinic is an outpatient addiction treatment center. It has The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Behavioral Health Care Accreditation, and the team uses an integrated approach to treat co-occurring mental health disorders.
The levels of care they offer include intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient, and family treatment programs. The clinic is located in Washington, D.C., only a few miles from the White House and the Smithsonian Institution.
Integrated Care as a Core Treatment Approach
The team at Aquila recognizes that mental health issues often drive substance use. With this in mind, they take an integrated care method of treatment. This model blends medical services with behavioral health to meet each individual’s needs.
The approach includes the collaborative care model, a systematic way of treating mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. It teams up psychiatric consultants, primary care providers, and care managers to monitor the patient’s care and provide necessary services.
The collaborative care model fosters better recovery because it ensures no part of a client’s treatment is overlooked. The treatment team encourages clients to develop their community networks in regard to employment and recreation, health, volunteer services and worship. These meaningful connections help foster real change for long term recovery.
Unique Housing Program and Recovery Environment
While attending an IOP, a set routine and stable housing are imperative for good recovery outcomes. In light of this, the center has a recovery housing option for those in the IOP, where you’ll live with others who have similar goals. You’ll find motivation and support among your peers.
The housing is furnished and equipped with wifi, TVs, and everything you’ll need to cook, do your laundry and live your life. With the flexible IOP, you’ll be able to maintain a job or attend school.
