About Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut
The Adult and Teen Challenge AKA The Connecticut Men's Center in Moodus, Connecticut is a 10 to 12 month treatment facility for guys wrestling with some serious life stuff, especially when it comes to substance abuse or mental health.
The facility is aiming for something deeper than just getting someone clean, they want to help men really rebuild their lives from the inside out. They focus not just on the addiction itself but on what led to it in the first place and how to live a different kind of life moving forward.
Faith Based Addiction Recovery
The core of treatment at this facility is God and your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Discipleship training is a big part of their program which is a blend of faith-based teachings and real practical support.
Men in treatment will sit down for counseling, both on their own and in groups, trying to untangle the knots in their lives. But it's not just about talking. They also focus on the everyday struggles like getting a job, managing money, and just learning how to be a better roommate, a better friend, a better person. Overcoming addiction is one thing, but actually building a life you want to live is another.
Amenities and Aftercare Programs
Clients in the facility can find a structured environment with dorm-style living and good, healthy meals. They’ve got a chapel and classrooms for learning and reflection, plus laundry and fitness areas. The 64 acre campus has nice walking trails, and the work therapy helps build practical life skills.
When treatment is completed and folks are ready to move on, there can be transitional housing and ongoing support with mentoring, job help, and planning for the future, plus a supportive alumni network ready to provide a supportive journey for lasting change.
