About Vinland National Center
The Vinland National Center in Loretto, Minnesota is a residential drug and alcohol treatment center for male-identifying individuals. The center overlooks Lake Independence and includes a fitness center, several walking trails, a basketball court, and several gardens.
The clinic is licensed by the State of Minnesota. They accept consolidated treatment funds as well as prepaid medical plans and most insurance plans. Clients needing detoxification will be referred to a clinic that offers this service.
Treatments for Substance Use and Co-occurring Cognitive Impairments
Substance use is treated with co-occurring cognitive impairments. Psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health staff are involved in this treatment.
Treatment you will participate in includes individual counseling, group sessions, and mindfulness meditation. For clients with a traumatic history, trauma response services are used to reduce triggers and avoid retraumatization.
Therapeutic exercises are designed by a physiologist as personalized programs developed for each client to relieve chronic pain, pain from injuries, and symptoms of traumatic brain injury. Residential staff includes fitness and wellness professionals.
Your Accommodations and Policies
Treatment lasts 45 to 90 days. Residents are assigned to a two to four person bedroom with attached bathrooms. Phones, televisions, and computers are available at designated times.
After completion of residency treatment, you will be referred to the outpatient clinic in Minneapolis. If you have issues with memory, learning, or other cognitive impairments, the Vinland Center may be the best choice for you. Their addiction rehab program is designed specifically for men with cognitive impairments.
