About Turning Point Foundation
Men with a substance use disorder are admitted to Turning Point Foundation for a 90-day residential program. It’s a rehab center in Thorsby, Alabama.
The men meet a coach one-on-one, and those coaches are staff members. The program follows a 12-step approach with a Christian emphasis.
The Campus in Thorsby
The campus covers 10 acres in Alabama, 45 miles south of Birmingham. You’d stay overnight at Turning Point, so you’re not commuting in for the day.
Dorms hold 28 men, and weekday classes run from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The program holds recovery meetings and church services, with a guest speaker a night or two each week.
Plus, the grounds have a basketball court, a fishing pond and a media room. Family can visit in the common spaces on weekends, and the chapel is open for prayer and worship.
They don’t take insurance. Partial scholarships are open if you’re in financial hardship.
