About The Salvation Army Family Treatment Center
The Salvation Army Family Treatment Center is a women focused addiction treatment center in Honolulu, Hawaii offering a full continuum of care from residential to outpatient services and recovery housing.
The program specializes in supporting pregnant and parenting women while combining substance use treatment with family services through the dedicated 'Ohana Center so mothers can recover without separation from their children.
What kinds of treatment and additional support is available?
The center provides residential treatment, day treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient counseling, and continuing care for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
After completing treatment, women can access supportive living at Ke Ola Pono for women with children under age 10 or Ka 'Ohu Hou O Manoa transitional housing which helps them build independent and sober lives.
The program serves women age 17 and older with substance use disorders and specialized services for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting women. The 'Ohana Center provides infant mental health services, parent-child therapy, play therapy, developmental screening, parenting education, and supported family visitation.
What does daily treatment include?
Treatment combines individual and group therapy, psychiatric services and medication management, nursing care, substance use counseling, and 12 step participation. The program also offers spiritual guidance, cultural learning activities like hula and malama 'aina, and family counseling to support reunification and healthy parenting.
