About The Link Halfway House
The Link Halfway House provides substance use treatment in Norfolk, Nebraska. They help men 19 and older stepping down from inpatient care who need ongoing structure and peer support. The residential program lasts for 9 to 12 months.
Life Skills Services
While at the halfway house, men learn life skills that transcend to life after treatment. They may work on household chores, financial planning, and budgeting to help them with real-world experiences.
Achieving Goals
The residents have recovery goals to work on while living in a home-like setting that includes a comfortable atmosphere for healing. They have treatment plans that include support group attendance, like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, for ongoing recovery assistance.
The staff will provide assessments and referrals for other health services when needed. Counseling is included in the program to continue working on contributing factors of substance use and to learn coping skills for daily stressors.
Ongoing Recovery
The Link Alumni group provides continued recovery support to graduates of The Link House. The Alumni service is free and includes opportunities for sober activities and engagement with others.
