The Healing Place Mens Campus

The Healing Place Men's Campus is an addiction treatment center in Louisville, Kentucky for men 18 and older.

They opened in 1989 as a shelter and medical clinic serving homeless men in Louisville.

You can access services at not cost, from food and shelter to long term residential care for drug and alcohol addiction.

Detox to Sober Living

Men typically start with non medical detox, which runs three to ten days, then step into a residential program that lasts about six months.

That's a long stretch of staying on the campus, with food and shelter provided the whole way. Some men then move into transitional living for about three more months once they've finished residential.

No Appointment Needed

There's no appointment or application and the center runs an open door program, first come, first served with help around the clock.

Peer mentors who recently finished the program themselves help walk men through it.

When men finish, continuing care staff keep helping with the practical stuff, like finding work and housing.
