About The Commitment House
Located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, The Commitment House is an addiction treatment provider that specializes in providing a structured and faith-friendly recovery program for any individual who is struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. They offer a detox program, residential care, residential transition, a partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient care and a standard outpatient program.
Transitional Levels of Care
Their detox program would be the first step in getting free from addiction. The process is medically supervised for withdrawals, and you'll be transitioned directly into their 28–30 day residential program. Here you'll receive individual counseling and group therapy.
After residential care, you'll enter a four-week transition phase with continued 24-hour support. Here you'll continue therapy and get access to case management and 12 Step meetings that are structured around helping you build life skills.
Partial hospitalization is the most intensive of the outpatient programs and lets you live in a sober living house while attending five hours of programming five days a week. Their focus is on relapse prevention and recovery planning.
Intensive outpatient care consists of three-hour group sessions three times a week. And their standard outpatient, the final phase, is the most flexible and only requires one group therapy session per week.
Support for All Areas of Life
I like that they offer healthy life training so that you can focus on nutrition and exercise in order to build a sustainable drug-free lifestyle beyond just abstinence. They can also help you with résumé writing and interview prepping, as well as budgeting and setting goals for jobs or anything else in your future. They also give you the option of adding faith-based counseling and joining prayer groups and Bible studies.
