A Long Term Faith Based Addiction Program
The Maine Men’s Center provides adult men with a structured, faith based addiction treatment program. Residents get regular clinical counseling sessions in which their counsellor helps them confront addictive behaviors and learn how to productively manage stressors in their lives. Additionally, they use these sessions to provide life coaching, covering topics such as relationships and work aspirations.
They also stress that the core of the discipline and structure in their program is the redeeming grace of Jesus, making this a spiritual program for those looking to lean on their faith as a part of their recovery.
Healing Through Character Building
Character building through education and vocational training is another aspect of the Maine Men’s Center’s approach to sustained recovery. By giving residents a chance to develop their skills and work hard, the program offers a measure of personal fulfillment that comes from doing good work. Many of these jobs also open up career opportunities for those seeking employment after they graduate.
