About Ohio State Talbot Hall
Ohio State Talbot Hall is a hospital based addiction treatment facility within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, providing comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction services for adults in Columbus, Ohio.
The program offers multiple levels of care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy, alongside medication assisted treatment and group counseling. Talbot Hall's goal is to help patients achieve sobriety and return to family and community life through evidence based, evaluation driven care tailored to each person's physical, psychological, and social needs.
Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Across All Levels of Care
Talbot Hall provides a full continuum of addiction services under one roof, from medical withdrawal management to outpatient therapy. Care begins with an initial evaluation to assess your needs and determine the appropriate level of treatment, whether that is detox, a 30 day residential stay for up to 15 patients, or step down PHP and IOP programs.
The residential program uses the Hazelden "Living in Balance" model with a relapse prevention focus, blending structured group therapy, counseling, and recreational components. Treatment addresses underlying patterns while building practical skills for sustained recovery in a supportive, hospital based setting.
Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder
Talbot Hall specializes in treating opioid use disorder with medication management options, including buprenorphine and naltrexone. The program can address co occurring mental health concerns alongside addiction, with Level IV medical withdrawal management capability for complex opioid withdrawal.
Talbot Hall serves adults with in person services and walk in assessment hours daily. The facility is accessible via COTA bus lines and offers free parking. Talbot Hall accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and self pay, with sliding scale options available.
