About St Josephs Institute
The St. Joseph Institute in Port Matilda, Pennsylvania offers programs for alcohol, cocaine, fentanyl, heroine, meth, and other drug use. Detoxification is achieved in their withdrawal management program which uses a combination of medication and natural treatments to reduce physical and psychological withdrawals.
After detox, you can continue with the residential rehab here or the staff may recommend intensive outpatient treatment for you. All outpatient services occur at the Wexford clinic.

Other resources available to Veterans include counseling, therapy, sober living environments, connection to resources in the community, a relapse prevention program, and networking to receive housing and food assistance.

Outpatient Programs and Aftercare
Continuing care after residential or IOP treatment includes counseling including individual and group sessions and family or marriage therapy. Recovery education programs are available in a group setting as well.
Alumni who have completed treatment can join gatherings and reconnect with other clients free of cost. This program includes weekly meetings, monthly activities, and follow-up calls from the coordinator. Alumni also get access to the CaredFor app which allows clients to post messages and photos, track sobriety time, search recovery tools, stay connected, and receive support.
Spirituality Infused Recovery
While not affiliated with any churches or religious organizations, the staff are committed to their faith and invite clients to explore their spirituality to help unburden themselves of addiction. Underlying factors that cause addiction are addressed such as dysfunctional behaviors, distorted thinking, emotional pain and trauma, physical pain, and mental health issues.
