About St Francis Recovery Center
St. Francis Recovery Center is a residential rehabilitation center that focuses on substance use disorder (SUD) as well as dual diagnosis services in Auburn, Maine. It is part of the Catholic Charities Behavioral Health Network which is focused on providing supportive mental health services to the surrounding community. Their residential rehabilitation program is exclusively for adult men and provides confidential care to its participants. The Center is covered by MaineCare and General Assistance.
A Supportive Substance-Free Environment
Their residential rehabilitation program is designed to give you a safe environment to build on your new-found sobriety. Because it is a part of Catholic Charities, it is a drug-free treatment program. This means that you should have already achieved sobriety before attempting this inpatient six-week program.
It’s designed to help you adjust to sobriety rather than help you detox. This should be considered a space to manage dual diagnosis, build your sobriety skills to avoid relapse, and ease into a new normal.
Therapeutic Counseling Support
The priority at St. Francis is for you to better understand what led to your addiction. This is critical because if you don’t know what triggered your addiction initially, it can become too easy to relapse when those stressors are present in the future. This support will include individual and group counseling, family education groups, access to self-help groups and daily living skills, and even drug screening.
Aftercare for Long-Term Recovery
Additionally, as you finish the program, St. Francis can also help connect you to community resources and social service agencies. These resources can help you get back on your feet and maintain your independence while supporting your sobriety.
