Addictions Help Center

Self Help Movement, also known as the Addictions Help Center, is a nonprofit drug and alcohol rehab in the Far Northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania offering a full residential continuum for adults seeking recovery from substance use disorders.

The program provides medically monitored detox and intensive inpatient treatment, lower intensity residential care, stabilization and recovery housing.

Founded in 1967, this CARF accredited organization emphasizes individualized, person centered care that supports resilience, self determination and long term sobriety.

Addiction Treatment Programs

Clients can begin with medically monitored intensive inpatient treatment and withdrawal management, along with a stabilization unit for behavioral health or substance use crises.

From there, adult men can step down into high intensity and low intensity residential services, followed by recovery housing.

Programs combine individual and group counseling, case management, relapse prevention and peer recovery support.

The team uses evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, trauma informed care and 12 step facilitation, alongside medication assisted treatment, nursing and psychiatric support.
