ROAD Program Leads to Sobriety and Longevity
ROAD stands for recovery from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs. This program uses medications and therapy to provide a whole person approach. The goal of this program is to provide longevity and sobriety.
Group therapy will cover a range of topics like coping with triggers, relearning social skills, peer support, and anxiety. Cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, and other therapy approaches are used to help you reach abstinence from substances and avoid the temptation to misuse.
Decreasing the Prevalence of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
By using buprenorphine to treat addiction in pregnant women, the ROAD program is working actively to decrease the prevalence of NAS. If you’re a pregnant woman starting this program you’ll be seen weekly for four to six weeks.
Psychotherapy is used to create a safe, caring, and confidential environment for you to heal from trauma and addiction. You’ll learn how to navigate cravings, cope with life, and give and receive support from your peers. Through structure and discipline, you’ll reach your recovery goals for you and your baby.
