Recovery Centers of America at Voorhees

Recovery Centers of America at Voorhees in Vorhees, New Jersey, was a treatment facility that helped men and women get back on the path toward independent living and sobriety. This facility was one of several throughout New Jersey, and there were locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Massachusetts.

The Voorhees location has permanently shut down, but there are still facilities along New Jersey's Eastern seaboard where you’ll find the same supportive care. When they were open, they offered comprehensive outpatient treatment including detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Supportive Outpatient Program

They offered outpatient services here, and their programming was really robust. Whether you were stepping down from detox or seeking outpatient care, you would have undergone an assessment to determine what an appropriate treatment plan looked like for you. From there, a personalized recovery plan was created. Treatment approach consisted of individual, group and family counseling along with community support groups so that you could build a network of peers to lean on.

Accessible Care

The Voorhees location was one of several facilities that they called neighborhood clinics. One of the benefits of receiving services here was that if you moved anywhere along the northeastern seaboard and neighboring states, chances were there was a Recovery Centers of America location where you could continue your care. This allowed you to largely stay on your treatment track.

Evidence Based Recovery in a Tranquil Environment

Although this facility was located just 25 miles southeast of Philadelphia, you would have found a tranquil recovery environment in the woodlands of the Southern New Jersey town where this center was located. Public transportation made it easy to get to the recovery facility, and when you started your treatment, you would have been supported by the latest evidence based therapies.

The facility was modern, inviting and had a very welcoming feel to it, despite being a somewhat traditional clinical environment. Past clients shared that the support staff here was really welcoming and made them feel fully supported no matter what their struggles were.
