About Rainforest Recovery Center Juneau
Rainforest Recovery Center in Juneau, Alaska, was a program that operated out of Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau. This was a 16-bed program that offered inpatient psychiatric services to adults with substance abuse struggles. They also addressed psychiatric mental health issues and worked with adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
This facility was a benefit to the community because it made it possible for Alaskans in Juneau to receive comprehensive care without needing to travel to more metropolitan cities like Anchorage or Seattle. Unfortunately, this program was permanently shut down in 2024 due to financial reasons.
When open, they accepted private insurance. They also had a Medicare application assistance program to help you apply for coverage so that you could receive services.
Support for Justice Involved Individuals
Their Rainforest Recovery Center served as a facility that helped criminally involved individuals, whether they were transitioning back into society or needed alternative treatment outside of traditional incarceration. There were programs that were in compliance with probation and parole requirements, making it easier for criminally involved individuals to stay on the path to recovery.
Wraparound Support
This health clinic offered comprehensive treatment services in a traditional clinical environment. Evidence based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and medication assisted treatment helped you tackle the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.
There was also a focus on the 12 Steps and targeted integrated health services. While receiving treatment here, you would have also been supported through academic application assistance, case management services, and services for family reunification.
