About Project Turnabout Willmar
Project Turnabout Centers for Addiction Recovery is an alcohol and drug treatment organization that offers treatment for clients with co-occurring mental health disorders and addictions. They have several treatment campuses, including their campus in Willmar, Minnesota.
The Willmar campus includes one of the newer facilities, a 16 bed women’s residential and outpatient treatment center. The campus is also home to a sober living home (Cheri’s Place), a townhome complex for women in recovery pursuing higher education, and the Alcove meditation space repurposed from an old historic home.
Safe and Comfortable Addiction Treatment for Women in Willmar
The women’s inpatient treatment center offers treatment for women 18 and over. The treatment team strives to make the environment warm and safe, empowering and respecting women. Women have unique needs when it comes to addiction treatment, and the program addresses common barriers to treatment experienced by women.
The programs include licensed professionals facilitating group, individual, and family therapy. The staff takes a holistic approach and treats the mind, body, and spirit. You’ll have the opportunity for exercise as you learn and grow in community.
Clients have an individualized treatment plan based on their substance use, medical, general, and psychological health, as well as physical fitness. You’ll help the treatment team design your plan. All plans include evidence based therapies, fellowship, and holistic services.
Many women with substance use disorders (SUD) have sensitive personal histories, such as sexual and/or psychological abuse. For this reason, the program is exclusive to women, and there’s an emphasis on understanding how addiction relates to a woman’s life problems and relationships.
Additional Women’s Services and Programs in Willmar
Willmar is a beautiful area with lots of natural features, such as forests, hills, and lakes. There are more than 30 parks with hiking, biking, and swimming opportunities.
In addition to inpatient treatment, the Willmar campus has intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient programs one, two, and three days per week, depending on the program. There’s also a sober living home for women, recovery luncheons, and an online support network.
