About Oasis Recovery Center

Situated in Asheville, North Carolina, Oasis Recovery Center provides addiction treatment services for individuals who are struggling with drug or alcohol addictions. They do this by combining traditional therapies with holistic ones, making a blend that is ideal for your recovery journey.

Programs for Every Person and Every Need

They offer a few different core programs and levels of care, such as a partial hospitalization program or day treatment and an intensive outpatient program. They also have a men's and women's rehab program, an extended care program, the Oasis coaching program, and finally an aftercare program. There's certainly something for everyone here.

Some of the therapeutic approaches they utilize include individual therapy and group psychotherapy. They also use mindfulness-based therapy, which is one of my personal favorites because it grounds you in the present moment and can help you identify certain negative thought patterns that may be affecting your mental health or contributing to your addiction.

Holistic Addiction Treatment in a Natural Environment

They understand the importance of being out in nature and show this through their adventure and wilderness therapy. You can also strengthen your family unit by participating in family counseling with your loved ones.

Some of the holistic healing modalities that stood out to me included art therapy, yoga therapy, breathwork therapy, and mindfulness meditation. Oftentimes, treatment like this is even more important than simply taking medication, as it addresses the root issue.

They also treat dual diagnosis conditions and offer supervised residential living options. Some people can even participate in their Oasis scholarship program and their alumni program.

Levels of care

Detox
When the body has grown used to alcohol or sedatives, stopping can bring dangerous reactions without support. Watching symptoms closely during those days is what keeps a person safe.
Inpatient / residential
Inpatient care creates real distance from the stress and triggers of everyday life. With that space in place, a person can give full attention to recovery.
Outpatient
If you picture the week ahead, outpatient care fills only part of it. Scheduled sessions across North Carolina leave room for everything else on your plate.
