About New Horizons Behavioral Health Columbus
New Horizons Behavioral Health Columbus serves eight counties in southwest central Georgia. This location in Columbus is the New Horizons headquarters where you can obtain an intake appointment for outpatient and inpatient care. They treat addiction, and mental health disorders, and provide support for developmental disabilities.
Gender-Specific Day Programs
Intensive recovery support is offered in a day program format using the 12 Steps. This program is separated by gender and includes individual and group therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available if you’re struggling with opioid use disorder.
The day program meets 3-5 days per week and will incorporate psychoeducation and peer support. Case managers will guide you with skills in medication management and treatment compliance.
Journey to Recovery is Independent Living in a Recovery Environment
Journey to Recovery provides semi-independent living for men and women with addictions. Residents are assisted in finding employment and achieving sobriety. This program has two crisis beds for people just starting treatment and three transitional beds for people who’re continuing with aftercare.
