About Montana Chemical Dependency Center
The Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC) is a state run intensive inpatient program designed to help people safely stop using substances and get sober that’s located in Butte, Montana. The facility serves both men and women and is a part of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. While this is a short term program, it works with community programs to help transition you to a lower intensity level of care once you’ve successfully completed it.
An Intensive Inpatient Program
At MCDC, the priority is your detox journey while also providing essential counseling services to help you transition into sobriety. You can’t apply directly to the program because this facility requires that all applicants be referred by licensed professionals. Specifically, this can be a medical professional or even a Montana State Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC).
Similarly, if you’re facing corrections issues because of your addiction, you would also be a candidate to participate in the MCDC program.
Counseling Support for Early Recovery
Detox is the main objective at MCDC, but counseling is also just as important. At this facility, counseling options include individual and group treatment, daily education, and even peer and self help projects to help you build community and not feel alone. There’s no standard length of stay here but expect to spend at least a month while enrolled in the intensive inpatient program.
Applying to MCDC
MCDC uses your current financial status to determine your participation fees. There is an application process which may require an interview as well as a review of your current financial status. Some people may be eligible for the reimbursement program and people on Medicaid are now eligible to participate in the intensive inpatient program.
