About Long Island Treatment Center
Hicksville, New York, hometown of Billy Joel, is also home to the Long Island Treatment Center, which provides outpatient detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT). They also have outpatient treatment for mental health and substance use, including co-occurring disorders.
Long Island Treatment Center accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage and may take other plans as well. They help you verify your insurance coverage before you commit to treatment.
Multiple Outpatient Programs
Long Island Treatment Center has multiple levels of outpatient care. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) gives you more therapy time while still allowing you to live at home.
Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides three or four days a week of treatment, with three or four hours of therapy each time. The sessions are arranged to fit around work or school, but you still get highly structured care.
General outpatient care is available and provides a few hours of treatment and support per week. Long Island Treatment Center can help with aftercare as well, helping you connect to housing support, community resources and 12 Step groups.
