Lifeways Outpatient Clinic

Lifeways Recovery Center is a residential drug and alcohol rehab for adults in Ontario, Oregon. The program is operated by Lifeways, a private nonprofit behavioral health provider that has served the region since 1974.

You can also get outpatient and telehealth care in the same system.

A 90-Day Residential Program in a Home-Like Setting

Lifeways Recovery Center is a level 3.1 residential program with 30 beds. It can house as many as 17 men and 13 women in separate dorms.

Most treatment stays run a minimum of 90 days. The daily environment is deliberately domestic. The residence has a shared living rooms, laundry, a commercial kitchen and dining room and community activities that include church, self-help groups and recreation.

The clinical curriculum draws on named proven practices. Residents can choose from various programs such as Seeking Safety and Living in Balance.

Peer Mentors and Case Management Before Discharge

Peer recovery mentors with lived recovery experience work in partnership with the clinical team so that clients always have someone to talk to understands the recovery journey.

Case managers begin discharge planning well before residential treatment ends. They connect clients with housing resources, supportive employment and stepdown care.

Seamless, Accredited Care

Lifeways Recovery Center holds CARF accreditation and SAMHSA certification as an opioid treatment program.

Withdrawal management and the residential program happen on the same campus so the arc from stabilization through early recovery does not require a transfer or a gap in care.

Payment and Admission

The center accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, TRICARE, state-financed plans and self-pay. They also offer a sliding fee scale based on family size and income.

No one is denied access to services because of inability to pay.
