Adolescent Substance Use Treatment
The center specializes in adolescent substance use care through structured levels of treatment from assessments and individual therapy up to Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs.
Substance use programming follows the ASAM and matrix models integrating motivational interviewing, psychoeducational groups and substance use monitoring.
In these programs adolescents work on relapse-prevention strategies, coping-skills development and pro-social growth using cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques.
The intensive outpatient program meets three days per week after school, while partial hospitalization offers short-term, intensive support to address underlying issues and build lasting recovery.
Family-Centered Care
Inova Kellar Center places families at the heart of treatment through family therapy, parent support groups and multi-family group programming.
Board-certified psychiatrists provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management, coordinating care with schools, physicians, courts and other referral sources.
