Gregory House in Honolulu, Hawaii is a sober living home in the Makiki area offering recovery cooperative housing for adults working toward long-term stability. Gregory House serves people living with HIV/AIDS, individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability, and very low-income adults who can participate in cooperative living and community meetings.
Recovery Support
Gregory House provides a sober living environment with relapse prevention classes and practical skills-building workshops covering budgeting, healthy eating and time management. Each resident follows an individualized housing case plan that guides goals toward stable, permanent housing and long-term recovery.
Guests have a secure space to continue working on their sobriety while also gaining valuable skills for a more independent lifestyle.
Inclusive Setting
The program serves adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, especially people living with HIV/AIDS and very low-income individuals who need affordable, recovery-focused housing. Applicants must be Hawaii residents, able to live independently, currently receiving case management services and willing to participate in cooperative living and community meetings.
The residence offers five two-bedroom units and one wheelchair-accessible one-bedroom unit with a communal recreation room, on-site laundry and access to a food bank and clothing bank. Residents contribute 30% of their monthly income toward rent, with basic utilities, local telephone service and laundry facilities included. Private insurance and self-pay options are accepted.
