Levels of care#

Detox

People who want to stop using but fear withdrawal symptoms can begin with detox. This stage exists to get them through withdrawal safely before treatment starts.

Inpatient / residential

Inpatient treatment puts a person shoulder to shoulder with others who are working toward recovery too.

Outpatient

If outpatient care is on your calendar, sessions focus on counseling and relapse-prevention skills. Group time and one-to-one talks give those skills room to grow.

Aftercare support

Aftercare support can include ongoing outpatient sessions, support groups, alumni contact where offered, and referrals to sober living or community resources.

Co-occurring disorders

Sessions in Texas hold the substance use disorder and the mental health condition in one plan from the start. Neither condition sits on hold while the other is handled.
