Copper River Native Association Behavioral Health

Copper River Native Association (CRNA) Behavioral Health is a clinic that provides substance use and mental health care throughout the Ahtna Region and Copper River Valley of Alaska.

The program treats adults, children and adolescents with addiction support, counseling, trauma care and youth and family services.

CRNA delivers culturally responsive treatment that meets you where you are across rural Alaska.

Integrated Addiction Recovery

CRNA offers outpatient substance use treatment that includes individual counseling, group sessions and substance use groups supported by outpatient detox and opioid treatment options.

Groups offer time with others in recovery who are pursuing the same goals and may have experienced the same addiction challenges in the past.

They offer methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. A Certified Addiction Counselor leads individual and group sessions and travels to villages to reduce barriers for people who need care.

Treatment blends informed and culturally grounded approaches including motivational interviewing, Wellbriety, relapse prevention and sober support counseling.

Intake begins with a Behavioral Health Aide appointment and a full assessment to identify barriers and build your personalized plan.

Trauma Informed and Family Centered Care

CRNA provides trauma informed services using CBT, EMDR and mindfulness based stress reduction along with personalized and supportive counseling.

Services extend to infant mental health, child and youth therapy and family support incorporating play based therapy, journaling, nature walks and coaching.

Care is provided in person with patient transport available to eligible IHS beneficiaries.They also offer and a 24 hour crisis line.

The center accepts tribal funding, Medicaid and Medicare making treatment more accessible to the community.
