About Sussex County Comprehensive Treatment Center
Sussex County Comprehensive Treatment Center in Georgetown, Delaware, is an outpatient clinic that offers treatment for opioid addiction. The two services the clinic offers are counseling and medication treatments.

A Comprehensive Intake Assessment
Your initial visit will involve completing paperwork, a physical exam, and providing a urine sample. Staff will gather information such as your medical history, your history of substance use, and develop goals for your individualized treatment. Medication options are also discussed during intake.
Outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) involves prescribing medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, or suboxone to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. With reduced cravings and symptoms, you can be more able to focus on the treatment you receive counseling.
Effective Therapy for Opioid Use Disorder
Group therapy will give you the opportunity to establish a support system. Your peers who are also in recovery will be able to provide you encouragement and advice as you work to overcome addiction. You’ll also develop your experience in forming healthy relationships.
In individual therapy, you’ll learn coping skills for scenarios that may trigger use. You will also learn relapse prevention strategies and get a better understanding of the cause of your addiction.
A great thing about Sussex County CTC’s location is that it’s not far from bus stops that can take you to and from the facility. It’s also just a few miles away from nearby beaches where you can relax after your treatment sessions.
