About Ashley Addiction Treatment

Ashley Addiction Treatment is a nonprofit rehabilitation center located just south of Havre De Grace, Maryland. Having been co-founded more than four decades ago by someone who herself struggled with addiction, Ashley is built on the principles of providing care that’s both compassionate and effective. Their core philosophy is that addictions should be treated in the same way as one treats a disease. For this reason, they provide evidence based tools to combat addictions to opiates, alcohol, stimulants, and other substances.

Immersive and Structured Inpatient Rehab

The Havre De Grace location is their main campus and hosts the inpatient portion of their rehab treatments. Clients in the facility get regular medical monitoring and are able to access support from a staff member at any time of the day. You can also smoke on campus, but not vape.

Their gorgeous campus also makes it for residents to focus fully on their recovery journeys without distractions from the outside. You can engage in yoga therapy or use the facility’s gym to look after their physical health and manage physical pain symptoms.

Their treatment program includes individual, group, and family therapy. They can also offer psychiatric care where necessary and are equipped to provide effective care to individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. Ashley’s multidisciplinary team works to ensure that each patient gets personalized attention and treatment, no matter what a person’s individual needs or circumstances are.

Great Options for Continued Care

Since their program seeks to address each patient’s personal needs, they also have various ways to offer extended help to people who move on from the inpatient rehab. They offer an alumni connection program as well as case management services to help reintegrate people back into their regular lives and work schedules.

Levels of care

Detox
Time spent in withdrawal management keeps a person safe while symptoms run their course before treatment in Maryland.
Inpatient / residential
When recovery feels lonely, living alongside peers can change the tone of each day. In inpatient care, the people nearby are working toward the same kind of change.
Outpatient
People looking for individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse-prevention skills often find them in outpatient sessions.
Aftercare support
When a program ends, continuing care can take the form of outpatient sessions, peer groups, alumni contact where offered, or sober living referrals. Many people use several of these at once.
Co-occurring disorders
Treatment for co-occurring disorders puts both conditions in one plan instead of handling them one after the other.
Intervention services
Seeking help from a professional often follows a stretch of talks that have not reached the person.
