About Ashley Addiction Treatment Union Hospital
Ashley Addiction Treatment in Elkton, Maryland, was an outpatient addiction treatment center that is now closed. The facility offered several outpatient programs for clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. Though the Elkton center is closed, the nonprofit organization offers treatment programs in Havre de Grace and Bel Air, Maryland. The programs are accredited by The Joint Commission, and they accept insurance from most major providers.
A Patient Centered Addiction Treatment Approach in Maryland
Elkton is a small town with small town charm and comfort, and the convenience of having the larger cities of Philadelphia and Baltimore nearby. Though the Elkton center is closed, the organization has treatment centers within 20 miles in Havre de Grace and Bel Air.
The outpatient programs take a holistic, patient centered approach with individualized treatment plans. The services include case management, group, and individual counseling. One nice thing about the programs is that they offer transportation to and from the facilities, removing what may be a big obstacle to treatment for many clients.
Ambulatory Detox & Holistic Care in the Intensive Outpatient Program
Not everyone can commit to an inpatient program, so it’s a nice feature that the intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers a monitored ambulatory detox if necessary. You’ll have group therapy four times per week. You’ll also receive individual therapy to get to the root of your substance use and identify and treat underlying mental health issues.
In addition to traditional therapies, they offer holistic therapies. These include acupuncture and meditation.
Addiction Help for Pregnant Women
The IOP currently offered in Bel Air includes a special program for women with addictions who are pregnant. The organization partners with the county in its participation in Project Healthy Delivery, which provides funds for pregnant women.
The project helps women obtain drug and alcohol assessments, treatment plans, and counseling. After completing the IOP, clients attend weekly outpatient group therapy. Despite the Elkton center’s closure, clients can still get help through this treatment organization.
