About ASAC Area Substance Abuse Council ND Housing
The ASAC or Area Substance Abuse Council in Clinton, Iowa is ready and willing to treat anyone in need of addiction treatment, whether it is an addiction to gambling, alcohol, opioids or any other substance. They have a program to meet the needs of clients of all ages and demographics.
Focused Care
There are programs for adolescents, adults, mothers with children, pregnant women and the LGBTQ+ community. There are residential and outpatient treatment programs, driving while under the influence (DUI) classes, and medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those in need.
Assessments can be arranged for same-day access by calling their office. They accept most types of insurance and there is a sliding scale for
fees that are out-of-pocket.
Residential Care
The residential program at the ASAC Recovery Center is for adults who are 18 years of age or older. For consideration to get into the residential recovery center treatment program you will need a substance use disorder assessment by a qualified health care professional.
This can be performed through the courts, hospitals, primary care physicians, mental health professionals, or through the assessment process available at ASAC.
They also have a halfway house where treatment is offered to help those in recovery after they have successfully completed residential treatment. The staff here can help clients find a stable and supportive place to live while adapting to living in the community in recovery. While this is not a treatment facility it does provide at least five hours of treatment curriculum each week and has daily 12-step meetings to offer peer support.
Outpatient Care
Outpatient treatment and counseling are offered to meet the needs of each patient. Care plans are fully individualized and can be tailored to help each client reach their recovery goals. Their MAT services are offered through the ASAC Cedar Rapids office and the Clinton New Directions facility. They also partner with other organizations and health care facilities to provide MAT where and when needed.
